Amerada Hess
I worked for Amerada Hess supporting a Windows 95, VB6 and Access system at one of their suppliers, Dowerhill in Worksop.

Amerada are in the business of supplying gas to domestic customers in the UK in the new deregulated market in competition to British Gas.

Dowerhill process application forms for gas supply contracts. Forms are scanned and then the data from them is manually entered. The Visual BASIC system that I help to support then processes the information validating the address and working out the Transco supply point. Completed applications are then passed to Amerada.
